Engineered stone, commonly known as quartz, is a composite material made from crushed stone combined with a binding resin to form a durable solid surface.

Quartz countertops are strong, dense, and resistant to most stains. However, they are not highly heat-resistant, so placing hot pots or pans directly on the surface is not recommended.
